#June100 Cycling Challenge – Sign Up Here!

Sign Up Now!

Thanks to a good idea by Jon, and a few great suggestions by others, I’ve officially launched the June100 challenge.

As I write this, ten intrepid riders have said they want to join in. Β Thank you to those people for piling the pressure on, it’s exactly what I need.

June100 Spreadsheet on Google Docs - Join us by filling the form in.

Join Us On The June100 – Just fill in the form!

If you’ve not got the spreadsheet yet, fill in this little form and I’ll invite you to join it, so you’ll be able to punch your mileage in throughout June. Β Your email address will only come to me so if you start to receive spam, it’s not mine.

I’m keeping this post simple, so please sign up, join in the fun and let’s all get a little bit fitter and a little bit further!

Thanks! πŸ™‚

I’ll be putting screenshots on da blog okie? My Iphone battery cant cope with long rides…

  2. @phillconnell

No probs Carrie. Do you wanna password for t’spreadsheet or will you tell me and I can put them in for you? I realise that phone-only users can’t be arsed updating Google Docs.
    p.s. That offer doesn’t apply to everyone, I can’t become full-time #June100 admin, y’know πŸ˜‰

I’ll do it anyways yer like. I’m nice like that. I’m setting myself the challenge of getting down to 100 miles for the month. Who’s running the book on how much I go over. Got it down to 450 this month :p

  4. Phill

πŸ™‚ Fill in the form then, and I’ll email yer so you can update it yersen’.

I think you might be missing the point on the mileage, dear πŸ˜‰
If I mention that I might (or might not) get a trophy on the go, would you keep the mileage up?

  5. @JobySp

This is going to drive me and my family insane for June you know… I’ll be trying to clock in pathetically stupid miles just to put big gaps in there – which in turn means I don’t spend any time with my family…

If they ask – I’ll tell em phill made me.

Joby, I’ve never been cited in anyone else’s divorce proceedings, go carefully… but go cycling!

Les, Cheers mate, really feel for you. Soon enough though, eh? Get yerself mended properly first.

What do you mean by, “I realise that phone-only users can’t be arsed updating Google Docs.”?

  9. Phill

Just that it’s hard work doing spreadsheets on a phone. If phone users do update the spreadsheet, that shows awesome dedication to the cause (and it’s easier for me too!) πŸ™‚

I’m just trying to fit the miles in around my family – tis all πŸ™‚

I’ll just have to go out every dinner time to do 10 miles, then cycle to the gym and back. :p

  11. Phill

Yeah I know, it’s not always going to be easy but I reckon I’ll squeeze a few evening rides in after kids’ bedtimes. I did 53 miles in May over 6 rides, got to double it. Fourteen June100’ers though, so the peer pressure’s on.

  12. Phill

Yes! Go for it, the 100 miles don’t all have to start tomorrow… πŸ™‚

I’ve been metric for 7 years! This is not right! πŸ˜‰

  16. Phill

Serves you right for moving to a weird country. Weird and sunny, and wealthy, and shiny, and new, with loads of nice riding. Boll*cks.

Have just signed up. Hope to achieve it even though I’m not allowed to cycle until 20th June – that’s 100 miles in 11 days after six weeks off. Can’t wait.

  20. @phillconnell

Rafe, that’s great news, but I hope you don’t do yourself an injury because I’ve not sorted out the “none of this is my fault if you get hurt” small print yet…
