Fitting My New Superstar Components Brake Pads<\/h2>\n

Last week I spent \u00a35.48 on a pair of Superstar Components<\/a> brake pads. \u00a0Now that’s cheap! \u00a0Shimano or Ashima were all the wrong side of \u00a310 so I took a chance and ordered one set to see how they were. \u00a0If they were rubbish I’d only have wasted \u00a35.48.<\/p>\n

They’re not rubbish. They’re bloody\u00a0marvellous\u00a0so thank you @Mattmbr<\/a> !<\/p>\n

Fitting The Brake Pads …<\/h2>\n

… was easier, but took longer, than I expected. \u00a0Le me explain. \u00a0Extracting the old pads was simple:<\/p>\n

– Remove the wheel, squash the split pin on the brake unit and pull it out (easy<\/em>).
\n– Push the old brake pads out with a small screwdriver (easy peasy<\/em>).
\n– Put the spring clip and new brake pads together and push into the void left by the old pads (pretty easy<\/em>)
\n– Re-insert the split pin and bend the end with the small screwdriver (lemon cheesy<\/em>)<\/p>\n

So far, all good. No issues. Hunky dory. Five minutes top end. Smiling.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
