This is, officially, Not Good News. Tomorrow is my fortnightly Day To Myself (<em>Capital D, capital T, capital M<\/em>) and that means playing out on my <a title=\"My First Fat Boy Ride - blog post\" href=\"http:\/\/www.phillconnell.com\/blog\/2010\/first-fat-boy-ride\/\" target=\"_blank\">Focus Fat Boy<\/a>. However, with the snot monsters in the ascendancy I need to make sure I&#8217;m kitted out properly.<\/p>\n<h2>Snot-Busting Cycling Gear.<\/h2>\n<p>The plan is to try out a new 10 mile loop, mostly easy off-road stuff, but in this bobbins North-Western weather we&#8217;re enjoying there are a few recent purchases I&#8217;ll be testing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sealskinz Waterproof Cycling Gloves<\/strong>, bought for \u00a320 from Winfields<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ron Hill Running Tights<\/strong>, \u00a315 , also from Winfields<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karrimor Long Sleeved Cycling Top<\/strong>, \u00a311 from Sports Direct (<em>or whatever Mike Ashley&#8217;s shops are called this week<\/em>) &#8211; the picture shows my Decathlon short sleeved top but it&#8217;s too cold for that one<\/li>\n<li><strong>DHB Base Layer<\/strong>, \u00a320 from Wiggle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I suspect the biggest test will be the snot-catcher strips on the thumbs of the gloves.<\/p>\n<div
